Writing Sample 3
Reassurance through Uncertainty
Valued partners and customers,
I cannot communicate enough how deeply thankful I am to each of you for your collaboration in navigating the complexities of this rapidly evolving national crisis. While the entire nation is coping with a new normal, your partnership has been instrumental in our efforts to ensure that your consumers can find the foods they know and love.
Thank you.
As promised, we are providing communication to keep you updated on the business and our position in this climate.
Our manufacturing facility in Ohio is considered an Essential Business, and are continuing our operations to help maintain the nation's food supply. The State of Ohio issued a Stay at Home Order to slow the spread of COVID-19. The Order designates Essential Businesses and Operations that are encouraged to remain open, including grocery stores, food manufacturers, and the connected supply chain.
We've increased our production days and times, allowing us to run at full capacity in response to the increase in demand.
Since heightening production, we've had only minimal issues with item inventory.
Currently, we are maintaining our standard lead time for production and shipping. We are monitoring transportation daily and have not had significant challenges in delivering our products.
We will collaborate with you to fulfill your potential increased demand.
To maintain optimal customer service, we would greatly appreciate additional lead time if you anticipate orders to be greater than usual.
Given the significant surge in orders by the majority of our customers and our desire to treat all customers fairly and equitably, we again ask that you be mindful of the following protocols and customer service practices:
We have increased production to 24/7, so we can meet demand. Before shipment, each PO will be reviewed. We will inform you if any changes are made.
We will ship a maximum of two weeks' average sales to customers with orders in-house. This assumes the availability of trucks and delivery times at your respective warehouses.
Every day, we reassess supply and demand for every brand and product in our portfolio. Given the strength of our supply chain, we do not anticipate any significant shortages.
We will continue this review process daily until this crisis has passed and will continue to provide regular updates as the situation evolves.
We value your incomparable partnership and stand ready to support you while supporting our nation's food supply.
